Christmas Ornament
December 14, 2010
I wanted to share the ornament craft that Kitty from MA, did with her child care. Kitty used cut up bow pieces and laminated the ornaments. They turned out beautiful. Thank you Kitty for sharing this picture with us.

love these. were they made with wax paper?
how do the pieces stay if you are laminating? how did you do this as a group? It's adorable, I want to do this with my class
I don't know how she did this, but I do a similiar craft with my kids. (and did it with a daycare class too). I take a square of contact paper and put it on the table sticky side up. I let the kids rip tissue paper and put it on the contact paper. When they are finished put another piece of contact paper on top to seal it. Then cut into any shape you want. (We usually do this in fall and make leaf or pumpkin shapes. I have also cut it into the letter of their name.) But will definetly do the Christmas ornament this year!!
This is a great idea and I can see some small stained glass windows made with this to hang in your window where you work or in the kitchen… makes a lovely jewel effect. I wish that I had thought of this earier!
Where would I find the ornament outline?
I did a google image search and there were lots of options for the ornament outline. This was a good one: http://www.activityvillage.co.uk/sites/default/files/downloads/christmas_ornament_frame_blank.pdf
